I am a single parent, mother who provides the bulk of care for our child. I think this is a very good piece. I must admit in the early years it was difficult not to complain about my daughter's father but thank God I quickly learned exactly what this article speaks about. Mothers, we truly do harm a part of our child when we speak ill against their fathers and vice versa. Weather or not a parent pays child support should not be a determinig factor as to contact with that child. I can say this because I do not receive any child support yet allow contact. As parents we need to bear in mind, it was our doing and our choices that created these situations not the childs so it is up to us to handle conflicts in a mature and amicable manner. Great piece and God bless you for what you're doing!

Thank God a woman is willing to set aside blame and anger and look at the best interest of the children in these unfortunate situations! God Bless you for your outlook and willingness to spread the message of mending the relationship between father and children!

Wow! That caught me off-guard. I had not expected this to go in the directions it did. Seriously wholistic-- i guess when We really focus on the kids We end up with more wholistic perspectives. Loved the Role Identifier too. This really made me think a lot about how my folks parented. I'm real interested in hearing how folks, moms and dads, who have to deal with child-support feel about this piece.
