Probably, … “The Way we Were”. I may be dating myself but basically the movie was a love story were the main characters fell in love despite their different backgrounds and passions. But as time passed, these differences proved to be too great to sustain the relationship. They went their separate ways and went on to their own successes. Now, that may not be the truest synopsis, but its the one I chose to embrace; having something, realizing it doesn’t quite fit, and allowing each other to move towards our own happiness. A ‘fact’ of that movie I won’t claim is that the male lead, Robert Redford, appeared to be an absent dad in his child’s life, something that didn’t seem too out of the ordinary in the movie’s setting (the 30′s and 40′s). Hopefully he was on point with his support payments.

My pick? “Divorce: The Musical”. Not because I’ve even seen that movie, but because I feel the title reflects the fact that there is life and wellness after divorce, and maybe even some harmony.
