Talibah,

Being the Kool-Aid house definitely has its perks. For one, you know where your kid is. It took my kids a minute to catch on to that's why I always wanted to play host. It's also a great way for parents to build long-term relationship with the neighborhood kids. We need more den mothers, who are always looking out for not only their child, but children in general.

Lisa, I really enjoyed this post. When I was a kid, even though I loved my own mother, I adopted others. Now that I'm a Mom, I'd prefer to have the Kool-Aid house, as my Mom used to call it. I'm not tracking that way right now, but when he gets a "crew", I'm hoping our house is headquarters.
